Day 1: Arrival in Cancún

Transfer to Cancún and overnight stay at the Hotel QBay.

Day 2: Cancún - Valladolid - Chichén Itzá

In the morning you will head off to Valladolid. After a guided city walk you can refresh in the crystal clear waters of the Cenote “Dzitnup”. In the afternoon you will visit Chichén Itzá. This archaeological site was declared as a UNESCO world cultural heritage site. It is Yucatan’s most popular and visited pyramid. At night, you can enjoy the spectacular sound and light show. Overnight stay at the Hotel Dolores Alba Chichén Itzá.

Day 3: Chichén Itzá - Izamal - Mérida

From Chichén Itzá you will be travelling west to Izamal. The monastery of Izamal is the biggest Franciscan monastery and was built as a response of the Mayan sainthood. In the afternoon you will continue your trip to Mérida. During your guided city walk, you can admire the beautiful colonial architecture. Not only will you be passing the many beautiful monuments, but you will also observe the typical life of the Mexicans at the lively market place. Overnight stay at the Hotel Caribe.

Day 4: Mérida - Celestún - Mérida

Today we will make an excursion to Celestún on the Gulf of Mexico. This national park is a paradise for flamingos and pelicans, which you can observe in their natural environment during a 2.5 hr boat trip. Afterwards, you can relax a while on the beach of this pristine fishing village. In the late afternoon you will return to Mérida. Overnight stay at the Hotel Caribe.

Day 5: Uxmal - Edzná - Campeche

On the way to the port city of Campeche, you will discover two further spectacular Mayan sites: Uxmal and Edzná. The city Campeche is a jewel of colonial architecture. Let the city enchant you! Overnight stay at the Hotel Plaza de Campeche.

Day 6: Campeche - Palenque

Today’s route will lead you to Palenque. The archaeological excavation is one of the most beautiful Maya sites in all of Mexico. It is especially spectacular due to its architectural balance and location in the midst of a tropical jungle surrounding. Overnight at the Hotel Villas Kin-Ha.

Day 7: Palenque - Cascadas de Agua Azul - Misol-Ha - Palenque

The two huge waterfalls Misol-Ha und Cascadas de Agua Azul to be visited today impress by their natural beauty. Excellent walking trails draw along both sides of the waterfalls. Refresh yourself from the tropical heat by taking a bath in the crystal clear water. Overnight stay at the Hotel Villas Kin-Ha.

Day 8: Palenque - Becán - Chicanná - Xpujil

The three venues feature the so-called "Rio Bec" region, where many Maya sites are located.  Let the mysterious Maya culture enchant your senses! Overnight stay at the Hotel Debliz Xpujil.

Day 9: Xpujil - Kohunlich - Laguna Bacalar

Today you will continue your journey to Kohunlich. Many of the properties are idyllically located between palms along forest paths. From Kohunlich you will drive to the Lagoon Bacalar. From your hotel you can enjoy a magnificent view over the lagoon and sunset. Overnight stay at the Hotel Laguna Bacalar.

Day 10: Bacalar

Today, you can arrange the day according to your wishes. You can take a boat trip on the lagoon (optional) or simply enjoy the day by the lagoon. Overnight stay at the Hotel Laguna Bacalar.

Day 11: Bacalar - Tulúm - Playa del Carmen

On the way to Playa del Carmen you will visit Tulúm. This frequently visited Maya site is surrounded by a wall from three sides, while the last one opens up to a cliff with a magnificent view over the turquoise ocean. You will then continue your drive to the beach village Playa del Carmen. Overnight stay at the Playa del Carmen Hotel by H-n-A.

Day 12: Departure
Transport to the airport or continue your trip individually.
